Hi, my name is Randy Ringer (Owner of Snowy Creek Builders).
I want to thank you for your interest in Snowy Creek Builders.
For the past 36 years I have built and supervised the construction of over 150 homes in Preston County, mainly in Alpine Lake Resort. I am a working contractor. What this means to you is I am on the job site working with my men to assure your home is being constructed to the highest standards. (No short cuts). While some contractors subcontract most of their work or rarely even go to the job site, I am there!
Snowy Creek Builders is a custom builder. You may have your own plan or you may like one of ours. We hand draw your plans and will work hard to make your home fit your needs. The quality of your home and your complete satisfaction is our #1 priority.
Although we are not the biggest builder in the area, our customers say we are the best. Call me to set up an appointment to tour some of our homes.
Sincerely,
Randy Ringer

Dear Randy and the Crew,
Just a quick note to thank you for building my dream home in the woods. From our very first sit down meeting and drawing of the plans, I am so grateful that you kept us in the loop. We really enjoyed coming to the site and watching the process of the build! Thanks for letting us ask so many questions and explaining things so that I understood. From start to last nail, Van and I are extremely happy and glad that we had Snowy Creek Builders build our home.
Thank You!
Van and Alexa Stouffer
Dear Randy & Crew,
Mike and I cannot begin to describe how happy and satisfied we are with our new home. You took our plans and dreams and made them reality. The attention to detail and the level of craftsmanship that you all put into the final result are beyond expectation and a truly rare thing to find in builders today. Every time we are there we find new things that amaze us. Thank you all so much!

Dear Randy,
We have been Alpine Lake property owners for over 25 years. Our ownership was the result of purchasing a lot from friends who had acquired it when the lots were first marketed. When our friends moved to California they offered their lot to us. We bought it as we had always liked the resort. After owning the lot for 25 years and paying annual assessments we decided it was time to either build on the property, sell, or give the lot back to the owner's association. We really liked Alpine Lake but never had gotten very serious about building om the property. In the interim years we had sold the original lot and purchased a couple more "aesthetically" exciting lots that provided more interesting topographic features and building challenges. If we constructed a house the problem we faced was to find a builder who would tackle the job of building the house o a challenging lot.
Having never built a house the task ahead seemed daunting. Dale, one of my boyhood friends and an architect, had promised us at our wedding he would design one house for us. Fortunately, Dale's promise was rock solid and remain dso after over 40 years. Because of our ages the project needed to be done "now or never." To move the project forward Dale made several trips to West Virginia to visit the site. While visiting we could see the wheels in his head turning and a preliminary design emerged. We did not know what lay ahead but we forged on. Our next task was to find a contractor who would consider building such a custom-designed house on a challenging site. After inquiring with a lot of people in the Alpine Lake area the name Randy Ringer and Snowy Creek Builders kept surfacing. We heard great things about you and your contracting company.
We distinctly remember our first joint meeting with you and Dale. Nora and I were favorably impressed as was Dale. You gave us a good sense of what to expect and we were impressed with your responses to all of Dale's queries. As is frequently stated, the rest is history. We signed a contract with you and both of us have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and your entire crew on the project. You took Dale's drawings and developed a meaningful construction master plan. After breaking ground we were still uncertain about what lay ahead. As the house emerged you handled the many construction details with aplomb and gave us the freedom to make many independent decisions. Your willingness to work with several outside contractors on various tasks was exceptional and really appreciated. You also gave us the freedom to find specialty items that were not readily available from "big box" sources in the area. We often recall you saying, "I want to build the house you want." Well you certainly did and along the way you tolerated our input and lists of tasks. You communicated and kept us posted visa email. In most cases you were steps ahead of us in our thinking. Your craftsmanship was top-notch and well above our expectations.
During the building process we also enjoyed getting to know your crew. Each brought their own expertise to the project and did so very capably. You have the patience of Job especially considering you had Nora, Dale, and me looking over your shoulder. All three of us have high standards and you met them in every way. We often kid each other that with our first house project under our belts perhaps we should start another, because you made the project such an enjoyable experience. We can honestly say it has been a pleasure working with you. We consider you a good friend.
Sincerely,
Bill and Nora MacDonald
Randy,
I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your work on the cabin. (I call it the "cabin" because it is used by many friends and acquaintances as a retreat from everyday life.) Your attention to detail, professional suggestions, trustworthiness, patience, and diligence are much appreciated during this bump in the road. You have been especially helpful to my husband Steve who feels the responsibility of the accident and the rebuild.
God bless you,
Ellen Youtsey
To Whom It May Concern,
A couple of years ago, we were interested in building a vacation home in Alpine Lake and started the process of interviewing builders. After talking to several people, Randy Ringer and his team at Snowy Creek Builders were highly recommended. After a couple of meetings with Randy to understand how things work and ideas he had, we decided to select Snowy Creek Builders.
Our house is a custom home and while we had a general idea on what we were looking for, there were many aspects that needed thought out. Randy worked closely with us to help us make the best decisions possible. Many times we brought pictures of what we were looking to do and he was able to capture the essence of what we wanted.
In our opinion a contract is only as good as the people involved. Randy not only met our expectations, he exceeded them. We were extremely pleased with the quality of materials, workmanship, attention to detail, and most importantly quality of people. For any future projects we have, we are definitely going with Snowy Creek Builders.
Sincerely,
Michael and Sheri Lavengood

May God Bless & Keep You,
Marg & Dave

Dear Randy,
I can’t thank you enough for the exceptional customer service and positive experience we had with Snowy Creek Builders. It’s stressful enough to have your home renovated, but even more so when you’re doing it from 220 miles away. But the entire process, from planning to completion was so easy, thanks to you and your team.
Communication was clear and frequent. Recommendations were appreciated and valuable. Questions were answered promptly. And the quality of work was outstanding.
I had 100% confidence in your management of this project and truly appreciate your honesty and trustworthiness.
If we ever need to have any additional work done, I’d work with Snowy Creek Builders again without hesitation. Please feel free to include me as a reference, as I’d be more than happy to provide one.
On behalf of the Moniz family, thank you for making our home at Alpine Lake so welcoming and comfortable. It’s exactly as we wanted it.
With kind regards,
Wendy Moniz
Re: Snowy Creek Builders/Randy Ringer
We had a renovation job done on our vacation home during the summer of 2012. This was a first experience for us and I would like to say that we could not have found a better contractor to do the work. From the first moment of meeting Randy it was clearly apparent to us that he was the guy for the job. The communication before, during and continuing after the work has been above and beyond. It has been a great partnership. The job was done within our budget and recommendations/changes were communicated with us and prioritized to make the most sense. The work schedule was met and the job was done on time. We are now enjoying our vacation home even more and appreciate the quality of work that was done on our home.
We would be happy to provide any further recommendations. We look forward to additional work being done in the years to come.

Dear Mr. Wilson (Property Manager),
Our new home at Alpine is now completed and we will be moving in this weekend and we are very excited! My husband and I fell in love with Alpine Lake and purchased a lot last year. Alpine Lake is a most wonderful place and when we were ready to build we found the most wonderful builder.
We wanted to share with you a little about our builder Randy Ringer of Snowy Creek Builders. He was recommended to us by Clutter Realty and from the beginning we knew it was a good fit. He showed us a couple of houses he had built and we were very impressed with the quality of his work. We asked him to build us a house and that was the beginning of a wonderful partnership! We asked for a few changes which he was happy to incorporate. He made suggestions which we appreciated, given that this was our first build. When he told us when something would be done we could count on it. He told us that our house would be ready by the end of February and here we are moving in this weekend! He was adamant that we not move in until he was certain that everything was as it should be. And it is. He and his crew did an amazing job and we can’t recommend him enough to anyone who is planning to build at Alpine Lake.
As General Manager of Alpine I thought you should know how wonderful this experience was and to know that we recommend Snowy Creek Builders to anyone planning to build at Alpine Lake. Our home is open to anyone who would like to see it.
Sincerely,
David & Kristine Iskow
Snowy Creek Builders constructed our house at the above address in 2007 / 2008. This was the first time we have ever had a home built and we were a bit nervous from hearing horror stories about home construction projects.
Thankfully, we chose Randy Ringer of Snowy Creek Builders and had a great experience building our home. Randy is extremely patient and always provided answers and alternatives to our many questions. He is very responsive and usually personally answered his phone every time we called or would return our call within an hour. The high quality workmanship is evident through out the house and any minor issues were immediately addressed and rectified. Our house turned out great!
We highly recommend Snowy Creek Builders. Randy Ringer is a man of his word and he goes the extra mile to make sure things are done the right way. That is difficult to find in this day and age.
Sincerely,
David & Jennifer Falcinelli
Dear Randy:
We do not have the words to adequately tell you how much we enjoyed our building process and our new home and most of all just to say “Thank you”. You have done an incredible job. The most important task in building a home to us is the communication between the Builder and the Client. We were so impressed by the way you answered every call on your cell phone or returned a message within an hour and how you were available by telephone Day, Evening and Night. Your communication between us was OUTSTANDING!
We are also impressed with you and your Team and their knowledge of building. I want to thank the entire TEAM of “Snowy Creek Builders” and I want you to let them know that we think each employee had something to give to make our home the BEST. We felt all the Team Members are hard working, trust worthy and very friendly.
We are also pleased that the value of our home exceeded the cost to build it. We would recommend Snowy Creek Builders to anyone wanting to build a new home in Alpine Lake or Preston County, WV.
Sincerely,
Donald & Patricia McKinzie
Dear Randy,
My wife and I would like to express our appreciation for the wonderful job you did in building our new garage and artist studio. It matches our existing house as though it was part of the original construction. In a few years of weathering I doubt if anyone could tell the difference.
You and your great crew of expert construction workers were extremely courteous, considerate, helpful and a pleasure to be around during the long days you all put in on our addition.
You may use us as references for any of your prospective customers and may use the garage and studio to show them as examples of your expertise anytime you wish.
Again, thank you for a great job!

This comfortable home is the second the Riley’s have built at Alpine Lake. Sue loved their first-built house a hand some2-story on Betony Lane. But Sue’s mother is in her 90s; so accessibility and manageability issues drove Sue & Dean to consider moving. They planned a down sized one-story new home equipped with handicap features.
Their very successful new home is just under 2,000 SF in size, completely wheelchair accessible, with 3-foot wide doors, minimum 4-foot hallways, and levers on all doors and faucets. Their home has 3 ample bedrooms, two baths, one of them a commodious master bath, plus a den or office, a large screened porch where they live in summer, an additional grilling deck, a two car garage and a 16′x18′ storage area under the house. Construction is of low-maintenance* aluminum siding and field stone.
Sue & Dean are very happy with their new home, which they moved in to in March of 2006. Their builder was Snowy Creek Builders, and the owner / contractor, Randy Ringer, completed the home on time, a new experience for the Riley’s.
